There’s “More”- A Vision of Growth

“You Always Felt Like There Had To Be More…THERE IS!”

That statement has been the victory cry of The Summit Church since we began on October 5, 2008

The God vision that we have had since day one has always been to reach those who are far from God and help them back into a relationship with Him.

We have ALWAYS known the only constant we would have…is change. Why? Because life, people and culture are always changing.

We have both seen and proven this in the very short history of The Summit Church.

As we grow and work through each season of change, we have passionately pursued our core values.

1. We Value People – All people, regardless of where they have been or what they have done.
2. We Value Servants – Jesus loved people by serving them and meeting the needs they had…spiritually, physically and emotionally.
3. We Value Team – If we can’t have unity, we can’t have “church”.
4. We Value Relevance – In The Summit’s desire to be relevant we have developed a heartbeat to redefine the way our community thinks about God and His church! and we will do whatever it takes to reach those who are hurting with God’s message of hope.
5. We Value Risk Taking – As we have grown and God’s vision has become more clear, we have developed this very distinct fifth value. Faith cannot be realized until we are first willing to take a risk.  At the Summit, risk is expected.

“God can do anything, you know—far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us. Glory to God in the church! Glory to God in the Messiah, in Jesus! Glory down all the generations! Glory through all millennia! Oh, yes!” Ephesians 3:20-21 (TM)

With that in mind, God continues to expand our territory and re-direct our plans.

We are building-out a 13,000 sqft. Impact Center directly on Chapman Highway. the busiest road in south Knoxville. This is an old shopping center and our new facility will be situated next to a bar. Many have asked us why we are putting  a church next to a bar. The answer is simple. We are here and called to reach broken people. We feel where our new facility is located is the perfect place to do just that. We are restoring a broken building. God wants to restore our broken lives.

While we finish the Impact Center we currently have an awesome campus to grow and impact people’s lives. We meet at 2020 Tipton Station Rd in South Knox. This is just off Gov. John Sevier Road about 3 miles west of Chapman Highway and 3 miles east of Alcoa Road. It is perfectly located for us to reach South Knox and serve our community without limitation.

God is writing another chapter for all of us. I pray you plan to be a part of the life-changing adventure!

Be Expecting!
